Ms. Rowsom

Greetings,

My name is Maya Rowsom. I am from Macon, Ga originally but I grew up mostly in Atlanta, Georgia. This is my third year as a special education teacher and my first year working with Clayton County Public Schools as a department of exceptional students case manager. I look forward to supporting students by ensuring they are in compliance with federal laws. I will advocate for my students to ensure they meet their individualized learning goals. I have always had a passion for working with youth. I am so excited to join the PACE program.
My educational background includes a bachelors degree from the University of West Georgia in Psychology. I also earned a Masters degree in teaching special education(general curriculum). I am currently working on my Specialist degree from Kennesaw State University.

I want to thank you in advance for being involved with and taking an integral part in your child’s education. I look forward to working with your child and you. With you, your child, your child’s General Education and Fine Arts Teachers, other DES members, and me as a team, we will work together to empower your child to achieve his/her greatest academic and artistic potential.  Together we will make 2022-2023 a very successful year with commitment to improving the lives of students here at Kay Pace SOTA “Where Art Ignites Academics”. If I can be of any assistance please contact me by phone at 6788296385 or email at [email protected].

Sincerely,

Ms. Rowsom
