Ms. Purcell

Purcell

Kenya Purcell is originally from Raeford, North Carolina. As a military dependent, she was raised
amongst diverse people, cultures, and places around the world. She would later join the military and retire as a United States Army Captain.
Kenya is the youngest of three girls gifted to Carrie and Franklin Purcell. She was constantly taught “if they can do it, so can you”. Mrs. Purcell instills this “can do” attitude within her teenage daughter, students, and everyone she meets.
Mrs. Purcell has a B.A. in Elementary Education from Long Island University (Southampton). She has also earned a master’s degree in Counseling Psychology, awarded from Tarleton State University. She has 7 years of experience teaching GA Pre-K, Kindergarten and First Grade.
Mrs. Purcell’s teaching philosophy is to promote a love for learning. The ultimate goal is to develop lifelong learners. Students must associate learning with positive experiences, relevance and confidence.
This is the key to making students excited to learn, dare to be curious and to strive for excellence.

Life is one big celebration. Let’s Celebrate!!
