Parent Workshop- Managing Behaviors at Home video

August 3, 2020

Dear Parent(s),

Welcome Back!

Welcome back to a virtual reopening for Kay Pace Elementary School of the Arts, 2020-2021 school year!

The staff and I are looking forward to a productive partnership with you to ensure our children can achieve their highest potential. In order for us to be a high performing school, our children need support from both the home and school. As partners, we share the responsibility for our children’s success and want you to know that we will do our very best to carry out our responsibilities.   We ask that you guide and support your child’s learning by ensuring that he/she:

Ø  Knows that you expect him/her to succeed in school to be college and career ready

Ø  Attends school daily and arrive on time, ready to learn

Ø  Informs you if he/she needs additional support in academics and/or performances

Ø  Reads daily to develop a love for reading and to improve literacy skills

Ø  Completes all homework assignments given by teachers

Ø  Shares virtual school experiences with you so that you are aware of his/her school life

Kay Pace SOTA was recognized last year 2019-2020 as a Nationally Certified Magnet school from Magnet Schools of America, awarded the Creative School Arts Integration School of Excellence Award one of five in the state of Georgia, and became the winner of the Broadway Junior Grant from Disney Musicals.  We are a positive and caring school family with high expectations for staff, parents, and students to continue promoting higher levels of learning.

Please monitor for current updates our communication streams Class DoJo, CCPS school website, website, and Social media - Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram.

I consider myself fortunate every year to get the opportunity to work with a great community and staff.  With your help and cooperation, this will be another excellent school year “Committed to High Performance.”
