Dear Parents,
Welcome to the 2022-2023 school year! The staff and I are looking forward to a productive partnership
with you to ensure our children can achieve their highest potential. In order for us to be a high
performing school, our children need support from both the home and school. As partners, we share the
responsibility for our children’s success and want you to know that we will do our very best to carry out
our responsibilities. We ask that you guide and support your child’s learning by ensuring that he/she:
Knows that you expect him/her to succeed in school to be college and career ready
Attends school daily and arrive on time, ready to learn
Informs you if he/she needs additional support in academics and/or performances
Reads daily to develop a love for reading and to improve literacy skills
Completes all homework assignments given by teachers
Shares school experiences with you so that you are aware of his/her school life
Visit the school’s website for specific school and teacher information. The “Paw Print” is our monthly
parent newsletter with information about events and activities. Class DoJo is our daily communication
between teacher and parent that you can use via cellphone and/or computer. We also do weekly phone
school communication and use Social Media platforms such as, Facebook -Pace School of the Arts,
Twitter –Kay Pace School of the Arts, and Instagram- @pace_elementary_sota. Please follow us for art
ideas, activities, events and school information.
We will have Before-Care (starts 6:15 AM) and Campus Kids (ends 6:30 PM), please sign up if you need
assistance with childcare. Daily student arrival starts at 7:15 AM for car riders in the car lane through the
rear entrance and dismissal at 2:15 PM for car riders (rear entrance). Campus Kids dismisses from the
classroom to their designated classrooms.
We look forward to seeing you Thursday, July 28th for Meet the Teacher. Grades K, 1, and 2 will meet the
teachers from 10 AM - 12 PM. Grades 3, 4, and 5 will meet the teachers from 1 PM to 3 PM. This
meeting is informal and allows you and your child to meet their teacher/teachers and locate their
homeroom.
I consider myself fortunate every year to get the opportunity to work with a great community and staff.
With your help and cooperation, this will be an excellent school year.
Sincerely,
D. Jackson
