Welcome to Kay R. Pace School of the Arts

Welcome Pace Parents and Students

Dear Parents,
Welcome to the 2019-2020 school year! The staff and I are looking forward to a productive partnership with you to ensure our children can achieve their highest potential. In order for us to be a high performing school, our children need support from both the home and school. As partners, we share the responsibility for our children’s success and want you to know that we will do our very best to carry out our responsibilities.   We ask that you guide and support your child’s learning by ensuring that he/she:

  • Knows that you expect him/her to succeed in school to be college and career ready
  • Attends school daily and arrive on time, ready to learn
  • Informs you if he/she needs additional support in academics and/or performances
  • Reads daily to develop a love for reading and to improve literacy skills
  • Completes all homework assignments given by teachers
  • Shares school experiences with you so that you are aware of his/her school life

Please utilize the Charms website, for detailed information.  Visit the school’s website for specific teacher information. The “Paw Print” is our monthly parent newsletter with information about events and activities.
Our students greatly benefit from your involvement and contributions to the school program.  We seek volunteers to assist with the following activities:

  • School-wide events
  • Student recognition events
  • Reading with students who need extra help
  • Teacher-led instructional support, usually in the classroom
  • Recruitment of parent and community volunteers

We will have Before-Care (starts 6:15 AM) and Campus Kids (ends 6:30 PM), please sign up if you need assistance with childcare. Daily student arrival starts at 7:15 AM for car riders in the car lane through the rear entrance and dismissal at 2:15 PM for bus riders (front entrance) and car riders (rear entrance).

I consider myself fortunate every year to get the opportunity to work with a great community and staff.  With your help and cooperation, this will be an excellent school year “Committed to High Performance.”
